Under the leadership of Outreach Manager Eva Mantell, ACP works on-site and at residences and facilities in the Princeton area to bring professional and specially-tailored arts programming to members of the community with a range of abilities, from those living independently in low-income senior housing to those living in adult day care centers (see article) and those at the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit at the University Medical Center (see article) who are coping with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Thanks to the research of many disciplines and the burgeoning courses and degree programs around the world, knowledge about the nature, causes, and consequences of violence has been growing rapidly. The diversity and breadth of our research is illustrated by the hundreds of projects the University has undertaken over the years. As part of this work, the Alliance has collaborated with organisations interested in developing arts and health practice in Australia, including the Institute for Creative Health, Regional Arts Australia and Arts and Health Australia. A comparison of theater and visual arts training showed fewer benefits in fewer areas for visual arts. Encourage creative thinking and co-ordinated action to improve health and wellbeing.
