ECA is a vibrant and creative community of students and academics: a place of experimentation, exploration, intellectual stimulation and exciting collaborations. Grace ‘Connell, BA (Hons) Fashion & Textiles graduate has won the Gold Wolverhampton Enterprise and Employability Award for the Faculty of Arts. Also included in its membership are University staff members and the President of the Student Union. In 1964, the school became independent of the museum and renamed itself the Philadelphia College of Art. The Students’ Union provides democratic representation, support and advice to students across the university. At a ceremony in Nagaoka an agreement was signed between Norwich University of the Arts and NID to promote academic exchange for educational and research purposes. The university was created in 1985 by the merger of the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts and the Philadelphia College of Art, two schools that trace their origins to the 1870s. This institution is now the College of Performing Arts of the University of the Arts.
The Archive was donated to the University by the Kubrick family and is housed in a state of the art, purpose built facility at London College of Communication. In order to integrate the University in the European network of institutions in the same field, the Department promotes and develops studies abroad, through international cooperation programs in research and education.
