Elementary Art Education is the process of building children’s confidence, and skills in working with a wide variety of materials. At the School of Art, students pursuing our BA, BFA, MA or MFA degrees experience the exclusivity of a private art academy – our faculty to student ratio is 15:1 – yet enjoy the affordability of a state university. We are the first school in Santa Fe to receive this award and one of three in the state to be recognized this year. Currently through the development and delivery of workshops and keynotes to specialized arts high schools, as well as digital content on platforms online which aims to help students find and pursue their life’s purpose. As a winner of the Elizabeth ‘Neill Verner Award – South Carolina’s highest award in the arts, the School of the Arts has been recognized for its tremendous academic programming, dedicated artist-scholars and extensive community outreach.
