Elementary Art Education is the process of building children’s confidence, and skills in working with a wide variety of materials. At the School of Art, students pursuing our BA, BFA, MA or MFA degrees experience the exclusivity of a private art academy – our faculty to student ratio is 15:1 – yet enjoy the affordability of a state university. We are the first school in Santa Fe to receive this award and one of three in the state to be recognized this year. Currently through the development and delivery of workshops and keynotes to specialized arts high schools, as well as digital content on platforms online which aims to help students find and pursue their life’s purpose. As a winner of the Elizabeth ‘Neill Verner Award – South Carolina’s highest award in the arts, the School of the Arts has been recognized for its tremendous academic programming, dedicated artist-scholars and extensive community outreach. I am very excited about the potential we now have to significantly improve the learning environments in each of our schools for each of our children. A shift away from the continued swell of derivative house/techno club nights towards a more creative, inclusive & intelligent Glasgow nightlife. A service contract between the School and the Reykjavík City Education Service Centre was signed 2004, providing for professional art education for students from preschool up to secondary school age. The School of the Arts is a vibrant community of practicing artists who are also dedicated teacher-scholars. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire Novato Unified School District, I am excited and pleased to announce we are very, very optimistic of the passage of Measure G – NUSD’s $220 million bond measure. To walk through the doors of the school and into our vibrant hallways, is often enough for visitors to sense an energy that is unlike any other school.
The most highly rated schools belong to a consortium formed in 1991 and called the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD) These schools differ from for-profit career schools in that they require a strong component of liberal arts courses in addition to art and design courses, providing a well-rounded college degree.

In contrast to the contemporary stereotype professional art and design education accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design or offered by the members of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design incorporates rigorous liberal arts and general education requirements so that students receive an authentic college or university degree.
