On this innovative course you will study the theory and practice of media, arts and culture in relation to professional industries such as social media, film, radio, journalism, public relations and music. Students take part in the realization of their own digital portfolio, take part in conferences offered by media professionals and participation in events organized by the college: Video days, Web integration, TAV Arts and Letters Communications Fest.
Students have the option of completing an additional major from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Table A or from another Faculty within the University as permitted. Here at the School of the Arts and Communication, we pride ourselves on educating students for the highly diverse employment opportunities of the 21st century. Students cannot take a major or extended major in Journalism and Mass Communication (towards the BA component).
In addition, students must complete a major from an arts and social sciences subject area and have the option of completing a third major or elecitve units from arts and social sciences subject areas or another faculty in the University as permitted.
The Arts and Communication Department sponsors academic courses and programs that help prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and for careers in art, communication, music and theatre. Bowling Green State University (BGSU) has built their website around the Standards of the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) 5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
