Katlyn Morahan is a passionate and energetic cultural communications professional with collective experience in public relations, marketing, events-management, and fundraising for some of the world’s leading performing arts organizations. There are also a large number of choices in Bachelor of Arts undergraduate majors, including Literature, Linguistics, the combined Literature and Language Major, Journalism, Pacific Language Studies, Pacific Literature, Pacific Vernacular Language and Theatre Arts.
Arranged for administrative and academic purposes into four divisions—Literature, Language Studies, Journalism/Media Studies and English for Academic Purposes—the School offers a wide range of courses in its various disciplines. The central question of this course concerns the management issues that arise from these dynamics. In addition, you may choose courses from the areas of Public Relations, Organizational Communication, Health Communication, Filmmaking, Journalism, Sports Media and Journalism, Documentary, Television Production, and Audio/Sound Design.
The Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Art and Media Studies on the Metropolitan campus fosters a unique set of practical and applied skills related to art and communication. As an arts & media-focused school, we want our students to learn how to express themselves to the world around them. Degree-granting programs are available in Art History, Cinema & Media Studies, Music, Visual Arts, English Language & Literature, the Committee on Creative Writing, the Program on Poetry & Poetics, and in Theater & Performance Studies. Students also study the global cultural and economic influence of the media industries.
