Aboriginal Artists in Schools , part of the Artists in Education program, supports Aboriginal artists (including Elders and traditional artists) to create hands-on arts projects for learners. PHOENIX, AZ (July 29, 2010) – The first statewide Arizona Arts Education Census shows that many Arizona schools have found ways to deliver arts education programs with few dedicated resources. High schools with more arts education saw higher rates of students planning to enroll in a four-year college.
The survey is the most comprehensive assessment of arts education in New Jersey schools ever conducted and reflects data collected from 99 percent of New Jersey’s public schools. The Arts and Education Council’s crowdfunding platform is designed to connect donors with arts and arts education projects within the Greater St. Louis area. The Tennessee Arts Commission offers strategies to bring together educators, artists, and community partners to recognize the arts as essential to learning in a variety of instructional settings from the classroom to the community and beyond. The AIE Coordinator assists schools and other applicants to design, develop, and implement quality AIE grants projects.
Presentations: The AIE Coordinator gives talks about the Arts Education Program, grant writing, and Arts Education resources (local, statewide, national) to faculty, school boards, PTO’s, organizations, and anyone interested in the benefits of having strong arts programs in schools.
These are just a few of the findings from a statewide arts education study launched during the 2010-2011 school year by Perpich Center for Arts Education, a state agency in Golden Valley serving all schools and students in Minnesota. These programs enhance and support sequential arts education taught by certified, qualified teachers in our public schools.
